The Rainwater Tank Market
Rainwater is a safe, sustainable water source available to most households, and it is natural, pure and easily harvestable.
On average a family uses 35 percent of it’s water consumption on garden and lawn , 25 percent in the bathroom, 19 percent in toilets, 15 percent doing laundry, with 5 percent used in the kitchen and as little as 1 percent for drinking.
Using rainwater instead of mains water for garden and outdoor use, toilet flushing and laundry alone can reduce mains water consumption by up to 69 percent.
Governments throughout Australia are actively encouraging the installation of rainwater tanks with drought a growing problem all over the country. Local and State governments are offering grants and rebates, plus putting in place regulations to ensure new homes, install rainwater tanks. This significantly reduces the water usage of each and every household that harvests it’s rainwater.
Halgan has a large range of rainwater tanks that we make in our factory at Cromer on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. |
